A number of business associations and National Government Agencies converged in a Regulatory Simplification Project Validation Workshop conducted in the four (4) municipalities of Cagayan on July 28-.30, 2015.

The conduct of the validation workshop is in line with the implementation of the Regulatory Simplification for Local Governments (RS4LG) which aims to hasten local economic development in the region through the simplification of business registration processes.

In the municipalities Gonzaga (July 28, 2015), Allacapan (July 29, 2015), Sanchez Mira and Lal-lo (July 30, 2015), all in Cagayan, it was emphasized that business owners can apply for their business permits within one (1) day upon installation of the system in the LGUs, thus, will facilitate business processing in the locality.

Among the participants were, representatives from the Environment Management Bureau (EMB), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF0, Social Security System (SSS), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (Philhealth), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), LGUs and business sector.

The project was launched by the International Finance Corporation, a private investment arm of the World Bank in the Philippines on 2012 and was piloted in Tuguegarao City, Pasig City and Puerto Prinsesa City.
