A total of 136 Bottom Up Budgeting (BuB) Program beneficiaries from the local government unit of Alcala, Cagayan were given various types of starter kits for their chosen business enterprises.

The awarding of starter kit was one of the components of the municipality’s Sustainable Livelihood Program worth P3.5 million under the 2014 BuB funds of DTI.

Recipients came from food and non- food type of business such as Pulvoron and chocolate Making, Meat processing, Banana Chips Making, Wine Making, Peanut Processing, and Dishwashing and Fabric Conditioner processing.

The 136 recipients of the starter kits were the first batch of beneficiaries from a total of 350 who already underwent the series of skills and managerial trainings provided by DTI.

The Sustainable Livelihood Program of Alcala, Cagayan was one of the 21 approved BuB projects of DTI-Cagyan for 2014.
