The La Vista Rural Women Workers Association of the La Vista Magcasama Agrarian Reform Community (ARC) in La Torre North, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya undergoes three (3) - day SME Roving Academy Training Workshop on March 2-4, 2016.

Mr. Mark Lester R. Amores, SMERA Counselor, discussed the topics on Simple Bookkeeping and Financial Management; 5s Practice of Good Housekeeping, and Product Labelling and Packaging. He also provided a workshop on records keeping.

Mr. Amores explained that the financial records of their business transactions when maintained and regularly updated will provide the organization with financial information relevant to the management and utilization of their resources.

On the topic of 5S and Practice of Good Housekeeping, he put emphasis on the importance of maintaining a healthy working environment and bracing up for the opportunities and challenges of a green enterprise.

Meanwhile, one of the participants, mentioned that the topic on Product packaging and labelling is timely as the organization has added three (3) product lines namely peanut butter, peanut brittle and peanut bars.

The adoption of appropriate packaging prolongs the shelf life of their product. Labellings on the other hand, provided identity to their products and made these more marketable.
