The Internal Audit Services (IAS), spearheaded by Director Edgar Herrera conducted an audit visit in the 81 Shared Service Facilities (SSF) Project in Isabela this 2nd quarter of 2016.
The SSF Project is being implemented nationwide which aims to improve the competitiveness, increase productivity and develop the Micro, Small, Medium Enterprise (MSME) in the country.
Out of the 300 SSF Projects established in Region 2 since 2013, 81 were implemented in Isabela which belongs to the following industry clusters: dairy, processed fruits and nuts, processed meat and fish, wearable and fashion accessories, cacao, coffee, rice- based cakes and pastries, and veggie noodles.
Director Herrera visited about 17 various 2013 SSF beneficiaries in 2013 and 3 Negosyo Centers to inspect the utilization and development of the projects.
Among the SSF projects visited were Quezon RIC, Mallig Green Ladies Organization, Isabela Bee Friendly Inc., Malaya Development Cooperative, Roxas Isabela Green Ladies Organization, Burgos Tobacco Farmers Credit Cooperative, Cassava Hills Growers Association, Alicia Government Employees, Cauayan Federation of Green Ladies Development, Cabatuan Women’s Kankanen Producers and Workers Association, Aurora RIC Municipal Federation, Office of the Senior Citizen’s Affairs, KALIPI Inc., Dap- Ayan Episcopal, San Isidro RIC, Angadanan Bamboo Growers Processors Association, and DTI Negosyo Centers in Ilagan City, Cauayan and Santiago Satellite Offices.
The SSF Cooperators openly acknowledged the recommendations, observations and advices of the IAS to further the development of the SSF Projects in Isabela.
