The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Santiago City recently launched the Konsyumer, Kabuhayan, Industriya: May Trabaho Ako (K2ITA) on July 20-29, 2016 in the municipalities of San Mateo, Roxas, and Cauayan City, in the province of Isabela.

The activity aims to provide integrated delivery of services to all DTI clientele to address their varying needs and to improve their competitiveness in the region.

Highlights of the activity include the conduct of Diskwento Caravan, Consumer Forum and Product Standards, Seminar on Intellectual Property, Training on Food Safety, Licensing and Regulation, Seminar on E-Commerce, Small and Medium Enterprises Roving Academy Training, Skills Training on Polvoron Making and Paper Beads and Fashion Accessories. The different activities were participated in by consumers, MSMEs, business sector partners and the Local Government Units from the three municipalities.

Several productivity enhancement and development trainings were conducted to increase the knowledge and enhance the skills of MSMEs in business growth and development.

DTI Santiago City Officer-in-Charge Mr. Roel Dolaypan, Jr. said that  the activity is in line with the recently conducted Negosyo, Konsyumer ATBP., “Serbisyong Higit pa sa Inaasahan”, ONE DTI Services Week in April 2016 initiated by the DTI Head Office.

“Aside from helping the MSMEs, the activity aims to promote the consumers’ rights and responsibilities and to encourage the business sectors to be compliant on the prescribed laws and policies”, he added.
