The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)– Cagayan Provincial Office sends-off 23 mentees on their graduation from the DTI’s Kapatid Mentor Me (KMME) Program Batch 3 on May 22, 2018 at the DTI Region 02 Negosyo Center, Carig, Tuguegarao City.
In his message, PD Bernardino G. Mabborang of DTI Cagayan urged the mentees to make good use of their learnings and not to grow complacent. “Instead, this experience should be the jumpstart of your quest for the growth of your business”, he said.
Attended by numerous public and private stakeholders in MSME Development, the KMME graduation was highlighted by the mentees’ presentation of their Business Improvement Plan (BIP) before a team of panelists composed of representatives from financing institutions, food processing industry sectors, the chamber of commerce and industry sector and the government sector.
The KMME graduates were assisted by the DTI-Cagayan Negosyo Center Business Counselors (NCBCs) in the preparation of their BIPs. The same group of counselors will monitor the implementation of the plans.
“I am very thankful to DTI for this great opportunity. I learned so much from the seminars and I will definitely apply the new knowledge I gained to grow my business”, Ms. Marmee C. Vela quipped. Ms. Vela, one of the 23 KMME graduates from the province of Cagayan is the owner of Z Bros. Native Food Products.
Meanwhile, DTI-Isabela graduated 20 mentees; DTI-Quirino and DTI-Nueva Vizcaya sent off 22 mentees each, while DTI-Batanes graduated 21 mentees for Batch 3 and 19 for Batch 4. Except for Batanes, the other provinces will hold the graduation for the 4th batch of mentees in September this year. This brings to a total of 108 KMME graduates for Batch 3 in Region 02.
