The Department of Trade & Industry (DTI) – Region 02 strengthens its partnership with the Canadian Executive Service Organization (CESO) to support its mission – MSME growth and development in the region.

During the welcome meeting on 09 October 2019 held at the DTI – Cagayan, Negosyo Center, Training Room, Canadian Volunteer Advisor Ira Teich discussed the details of his 6-week engagement for the development of Marketing Plans and strategies of the following MSMEs in Cagayan: 1.)Ms. Maria Consuelo L. Alivia of Big Boys Meat Product, 2.)Ms. Marmee C. Vela of Z Brothers Food Products, and 3.) Mr. Patrick C. Ventura of Lighthouse Cooperative which started on 8 October 2019 until 15 November 2019.

As part of the activity, a one-on-one consultation with the MSMEs was conducted to know more about the background of their company, expectations, and issues concerning their marketing activities.

DTI personnel present during the meeting were Mr. Leonardo P. Urata, Business Development Division Chief; Ms. Marivic Y. Calvo, Trade & Promotion Officer; Mr. Michael B. Paggabao, Chief of Staff/ CESO Regional Focal Person and; Ms. Pauline Clare C. Taguibao, CESO Cagayan Focal Person.

CESO’s partnership with DTI R02 is now on its 12th year. For this year, it will be the last leg of the five-year Partnership Action Plan with CESO.

Mr. Ira Teich is a Canadian volunteer in the field of marketing and owner of one of the most successful marketing growth strategy centers in Canada.
