In close partnership with private and government agencies which includes the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the provincial government of Quirino successfully held its 1st Motorismo Festival at Cabarroguis, capital town of the province on April 18-19, 2015.
The Motorismo festival, one of the first modern festivals in the country and now the trademark of Quirino province, was conceptualized by Tourism Sec. Ramon R. Jimenez. He graced the two (2) day event and said that, the festival has paved the way for local and international tourists to discover the province’s beauty and tourism potentials.
A trade fair was also prepared by the Department of Trade and Industry in support to the event. Quirino’s best quality handicraft products were exhibited such as fossilized flowers, furnitures and other souvenir items. Processed food products such as banana chips, taro chips and peanuts were also made available.
About twelve (12) SME exhibitors participated in the event and have generated total sales of P 121,810.00.
High-end motorcycle riders and motocross enthusiasts from all over the country participated in the extreme sports activities prepared for the event that includes motocross, motokhana and drag race.
