Globe Telecom Regional Sales Head for Micro and Small Businesses in Luzon, Penn B. Jaleco sought the assistance of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in starting the company’s project on the extension of their current wireless services for data access through advanced technology in Batanes on May 12-14, 2015.
According to Jaleco, the current mobile service status in Batanes is limited to continuous short messaging or known as the call and text services. Hence, Globe Telecom sought assistance from DTI-Batanes Provincial caretaker Marietta B. Salviejo in the provision of the list of registered businesses in Batanes from 2011 to 2015.
“We are planning to improve the mobile services that we have for Batanes by providing a more consistent and stronger network access for the consumers. Hence, closely coordinating with DTI will help the company in the implementation of its marketing plans and future engagement addressing the province’s growing communication needs.”, he added.
Ms. Salviejo said that Globe’s business plan will contribute to DTI’s mission on enabling the business environment in Batanes through the improvement of communication facilities.
Globe Telecom also had a meeting with the members of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) at the DTI office last May 12, 2015.
